Steps To Get Started

1. Download the file in a .zip format (search on Google to find the download link) and extract it into a new folder on your PC. 

2. Open the Privoxy and you will see some files, just locate this file with the name "Match-all.action"

right click on it and and select "Open with" option and then choose Notepad to open it.

3. When the file opens with notepad, look for something like +add-header{X-Forwarded-For:60.76.118.97}\ change the IP address to this IP 109.169.68.226 or to your own IP address. (don't worry continue reading and understand how it works, i will tell you how to get your own personal IP and why)

4. Now look for this string also +add-header{Host:www.mtnonline.com}\ and change the Host to wap.mtnonlineplay.com or 41.220.77.210 and your Host will now look like this +add-header{Host:wap.mtnonlineplay.com}\ or +add-header{Host:41.220.77.210}\

5. How to Get Your own IP address

The reason why you need your own IP address is that, using common IPs which are also used by other people makes it load too slow. But with your own unique IP, the speed will be amazing. and again Mtn Nigeria are so quick at discovering IPs and they block them immediately upon discovery. so there is a need to be changing IPs all the time. Now look for any popular Big site on the internet like Myspace, google, Facebook, Twitter etc. all sites are represented with a unique numeric addresses called IP. so you will have to convert the site to its numeric IP and use it as your own IP address stated above in step 3.

To do this, visit http://www.hcidata.info/host2ip.cgi or http://www.ping.eu and type the host site name eg Facebook.com in the host name and hit enter on the keyboard after pointing your mouse on the find IP address button as shown below.

You will see the result containing the IP address of the host site. copy the IP address and paste it in the Privoxy file you open with Notepad above. just replace IP 60.76.118.97 with the IP you copied and then close it.

Note: Try many sites as possible. their speed differs. and for fast identification of working IPs, you will have to check whether Port 8118 or 8080 is open on the IP you intend using. Read this post: How to test IPs that works with port 8118 or 8080.

6. Now after following the steps above, open the Privoxy file and locate the software with a P Icon

Then double click on it to open it. you have to be connected to the internet before opening it. so connect your PC to the internet with your phone using bluetooth or cable or network modem. you must have 0.00 Naira in your SIM. once you open the P Icon it will appear like a notepad with nothing inside it just minimize it. don’t mind its ready to browse free but not without configuring your browser manually thus

How to Configure your Web Browser to work with Privoxy

Configure your web browser manually with the following IP and PORT

HTTP Proxy: 127.0.0.1 PORT: 8118

SSL Proxy :127.0.0.1 PORT: 8118 

You can also use port 8080. while I use port 8080 is because port 8080 is open to 127.0.0.1 and also supports MTN free site IPs but the 8118 still works fine. if it doesn’t work for you then use 8080 as your port.

After configuring your browser save it and load a page to enjoy browsing free on your PC with full speed.

When Privoxy is connected, you can check whether it is browsing successfully by double clicking the P Icon. you will notice that when you open it before browsing it will appear blank but upon browsing it will look like this

Is Privoxy not opening some website? use this method

If you can't open some secured site like Gmail, yahoo, Facebook etc just visit www.work-surf.info and enter the secured website in the URL box displayed on the site and it will open fine.
